7 Sins

Project: Using the 7 colour contrasts to represent the 7 deadly sins. We were free to use any medium. I opted to explore casting.

Documentation of project

Step 1:
Find faces
I was lucky enough to have 2 friends let me put petroleum jelly and plaster all over their faces and they also helped me cast my own face.

Step 2:

Masks are finished, find a good composition on the board. I used pressed wood.

Step 3:

Start mounting the masks.
I used the plaster bandages to mount the masks on the board. It was messy and took a long time. But you can shape the plaster slightly as it dries. It also gave me a nice texture to work on when I started painting.

Step 4: Start painting!
For this project I had to use the 7 colour contrasts to represent each sin.
